Mascot/Nickname: HoundsThe Hectorville Football Club began in 1961 in the East Torrens Association and in 1964 combined with the Magill United Cricket Club to form the Hectorville Sporting Club. It won its first 'A' premiership in 1967. When East Torrens became Norwood North, Hectorville were the inaugural premiers, and won the senior premiership again in 1974. Norwood North became S.A.F.A. in 1978 and in 1982 the Club's name was changed to Norwood Districts, but reverted to Hectorville again the year after it joined the SAAFL. The Club won the inaugural premiership of the competition for people with integration difficulties set up by the SAAFL in 1992.

Unley will be wishing the visiting side had paid heed to the “no dogs” signage at Kingswood Oval as the Hectorville Hounds prevailed and jumped above The Jets on the Div 4 table in their round 4 clash.
The visitors didn’t have it all their own way with the Unley C grade getting up by 72 points in wet and slippery conditions and the B grade coming out 50 point winners, 13

What looked like a sad day for hope valley ended in a good note as the super Cs got home in a great win as each player played well to secure the points to keep the demons in touch with the top 3
The win was special as the demons have a number of player s missing due to injury and as always hope valley was well lead by their leader on paper and in heart Scotty Clay and up fwd Blake Appleby kept th
